Bio about Sherry Shieh

Sherry Shieh is an influence. With multiple roles as award-winning producer, internationally touring musician, entrepreneur, founder of two film production companies, Sherry has become one the most inspiring figures in her generation. Whether by producing films, making music, or by devoting herself to international and domestic service projects through the Rotary Club (with multiple accolades such as Honorary Membership and Paul Harris Award), Sherry is simply, in a word, NON-STOP!

At the young age of 12, Sherry was presented to Prince Philip of England for outstanding music achievement. She performed at the memorial service of Academy Award-winning actress Audrey Hepburn in the following year. Sherry has worked under Academy Award-winning composer Luis Bacalov (Kill Bill, Il Postino) commented “Perfect” for her rendition of Italian horror film Scacchi. To date, Sherry has won 2 major nominations from Taiwan Grammy’s Award and released numerous albums worldwide. Sherry was named Permanent Artist by major music licensing platform AudioSparx in 2015, and has more than 500,000 followings in Spotify, iTunes, Amazon Music, YouTube, among all streaming platforms.

During her years at Indiana University, Sherry studied with the eminent pedagogues Jean Louis Haguenauer and Vladimir Viardo. As the youngest Ph. D. student of the legendary pianist Anthony di Bonaventura, Sherry has performed extensively around the world and collaborated with international celebrities and alike. In 2007, her ballet GATE toured in Taiwan and was awarded “Best Group of the Year”. Sherry worked with the award-winning Taiwanese Rock band The Chairman and appeared as guest performer at Marvin Hamlisch International Music Awards. In 2011, Sherry dedicated Joyful Heart to victims of 311 Japanese Tsunami, drawing invitation from Jinmen Government to commission her to write and premier her work to thousands of people.

With a passion to tell ‘inspiring’, ‘innovative’ and ‘influential’ stories, Sherry founded iii Films and Six Trees Pictures in 2015 and 2017 respectively. Sherry’s first documentary《Book House》drew international attention and was awarded in Malaysia film festival KKIFF, which later led to other movie productions currently in progress.

 

In 2020, Sherry founded a new music group with her award-winning cellist husband, Adrian Daurov, “An International Affair”. The dynamic duo performs from her original music, classical repertoire to Pop and Rock. From May to August 2020, the husband-and-wife duo has performed numerous online concerts to raise fund and awareness for New York City in COVID times, successfully drawing attention from thousands of listeners and donations worldwide. Currently Sherry is working on two new albums and her latest business venture, Leading Bull.
